Liberty's
History
Liberty Fellowship began, as any other church
begins, with a group of people gathering together to seek a common goal.
The goal for this group of people, which would soon develop into Liberty
Fellowship, was to attain God's truth in their life. To be more specific,
we were able to obtain a list of wants from the original founders of the church.
What we want from this church:
1. "That church will minister to the needs of the
people." (by Lola Shannon)
2. "That Praise & Worship will be free, even
heavenly. That we have confidence in our leader." (by Jean Anna Sellers)
3. "That the church people will accept growth as
good & allow for it. That the church will be filled with love & be able to
demonstrate that love to the community." (by Bill Fowler)
4. "That the church will take leadership spiritually
and walk in boldness in what we are called to do." (by Randy Cain)
5. "I want the BIBLE, the Word of God!" (by Harry
Enright)
6. "A place of unity." (by Lola Shannon)
7. "A people led by the Spirit in humility." (by
Eugenia Spady)
8. "All of what everyone is saying but especially
communication, no secrets." (by Beth Ziegler)
9. "A church that will wisely use their finances." (by David Ziegler)
10. "That the church will have a pastor with a
pastoral heart." (by Diana Fowler)
11. "That the church will be all these things and
have a nice building. That we will be a place of provision and protection,
fulfilling the original founding of Fort Hays." (by Teresa Cain)
